Valentown History Day Camp - Summer 2008
Valentown Museum is pleased to announce the addition of a new History Day Camp. Located on the Historic grounds of Valentown Museum, across from Eastview Mall, behind Unos. Children will spend a week exploring and enjoying life as a child in the 19th Century. They will become 19th century apprentices learning though experience, hands on activities and guest speakers. The Day Camp will run daily Monday-Friday 10 am -3 pm the weeks of July 7-11th and July 14-18th. Class size is limited. For boys and girls entering grades 4-6. "Valentown Teen Society" VTS
For children ages 11-17 yrs. interested in history and preserving the past, community involvement and fun social activities.
Programs will include museum tours, guest speakers, field trips to local historic sites, hands-on projects, research projects and fundraising events to benefit Historic Valentown Museum.
Meeting are the second Thursday of the month at 7pm. We will meet in the museum. Contact Suzanne at suzanne@valentown.org for more info.
