Valentown Museum is pleased to announce the addition of a new History Day Camp. Located on the Historic grounds of Valentown Museum, across from Eastview Mall, behind Unos.  Children will spend a week exploring and enjoying life as a child in the 19th Century.  They will become 19th century apprentices learning though experience, hands on activities and guest speakers. The Day Camp will run daily Monday-Friday 10 am -3 pm the weeks of July 6-10th and July 13-17th.  Class size is limited. For children entering grades 4-6. Camp Includes the following:

Tours of Museum, Icabod Towne Homestead and Archival Library with hands on activities and guest speakers.  Classes will be held inside the Historic Valentown Museum, Icabod Towne Homestead and out doors in the square.

Historic Valentown's

                        Hands on History Day Camp

 Spend a week exploring and enjoying life as a child in the 19th Century, at Historic Valentown.

Open to boys and girls entering grades 4 through 6 in the 2009-20010 school year.

Children will become 19th century apprentices. They will learn about the lives and craft of the weaver, cobbler, broom maker, harness maker, and baker. Children will learn though, experience, about the daily life of children in our area from over a hundred years ago, and of course time will be spent in school.

Guest speakers with hands on activities. 

Program designed and run by NYS certified teachers.

Class size is limited, enroll early. first come first served.

Registration through Victor Parks and Recreation

$170/$215 nonresident

Monday through Friday 10-3

Two sessions*-
Session 1   July - 6-10 Session 2   July - 13-17

 *If  we have an extensive waiting list, a week may be added in August.
